Two NASCAR NASCAR XFINITY Series teams were penalized following the Drive for the Cure 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Both the No. 11 Kaulig Racing and No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing teams were docked 10 points for ride-height violations – Sections 18.104.22.168.1.2 of the NASCAR Rule Book: post-race front body inspection heights. The crew chiefs for each respective team – Chris Rice and Matthew Beckman – were also fined $10,000 each and suspended for the next race.
Matt Tifft, who drives the No. 19 Toyota, is a playoff contending driver and the points deduction applies before the reset for the next round. He finished the Round of 12 with a 16-point cushion after finishing ninth at Charlotte.
Koch, who drives the No. 11 Chevrolet, finished 25th at Charlotte and did not advance in the playoffs.
